i know astrology is fake but i'm not too keen on how a lot of people on this website seem to be clowning on it as a hobby a bit too hard. i swear the woman who thinks it's neat how she and her friends with the same sun sign are all similar isn't trying to say that you are who you are born as and there is nothing you can do to change it. it's a hobby. an interest. what happened to finding meaning and joy in the small things. does it affect you if someone enjoys tarot reading or crystals. does it make you upset someone has interests that they enjoy.
#im not saying astrology/tarot/crystals/etc. get clowned on so much bc theyre hobbies mostly enjoyed by women But....#i saw a post about some astrology study and made the mistake of opening the notes on that bad boy#not fun. and that reminded me of that old post that was basically like ''liking astrology is transphobic''#anyways idk maybe its just that my bestie is very much a ''crystal girl'' but like. stuff like that are such neat hobbies#she makes some cute little jars with pretty rocks and they make her feel better bc if you believe in something you can make it happen#when it comes to small things#like yeah if you pick up a stone that's like ''this can help you be more open with your emotions'' and you are like ''oh hell yea!''#ofc that will be on your mind and the item will be a constant reminder and actually help you with your goals#and its like. ok what really stuck with me was when i was talking with my bff and i was like ''i think all this stuff is interesting but i#feel bad bc i am superstitious and believe in some signs like lucky numbers but i know that logically its just. if i pick a lucky number of#i pay extra attention to it but i want to believe its lucky but i know how human brains work in that aspect''#and she was just like. What’s this? Two doodles in one day? Absurd. And even more absurd, it’s a doodle I’ve been meaning to do for a while now! Just like the one i posted earlier!
Ant’s opinion and situation regarding his family structure changes greatly over the years, as he goes from having practically no family, with his relationship with Gobber and Gothi strained and complicated and filled with self-doubts, to collecting family members like Pokémon.

i may end up funding & attending a chinchilla euthanization this weekend :^(

feeling solidarity these holidays with everyone not allowed to talk about their partner with the family

Today the big lad goes to get his heart rechecked. Here's him an hour ago loving shoes, as usual.
#we are on the way there rn pray for his ass#he may also get his kidney enzymes done cuz hes a lucky boy and has heart disease AND bad kidneys#he got lots of brushies and pets and plays this morning and some outside time :3#in prep for his Big Horrible Day#also update on kidney stuff! i was feeding him a mix of his old wet foods and hills science diet#but he really hated the k/d hills cans#spent some extra money and got him the k/d Royal Canin and he seems to love it a lot more#but hes also only on his 3rd/4th can so hopefully he keeps up that way :3#the food looks a lot better too! opened it and it has a nice color to the pate and lots of gravy#the hills stuff was almot dry and bland colored#sucktacular sucks#frankie files#anyway hes a big shoe fan. he loves all shoes. maybe even the stinkiest ones.#he loves to lean on them. hes a leaning kind of guy

Neat little interview with Ivan Fedotov from the April 4th Flyers Daily with Jason Myrtetus, they talked about the transition to the NHL, how and why he became a goalie, what's it like to start with all new gear that haven't been broken in yet.
Nice tidbit, Denis Gurianov was hanging out of camera to help in case there were parts he didn't understand and as support in general. Him and Egor Zamula have been his cultural mediatiors so to speak.

I guess I'm now Old Enough™ to not know that some things aren't common knowledge, because reading wikitubia is a wild experience.
"Jacksfilms' real name is actually 'John'!" yup, for sure. he talked about it all the time in his live chat wednesdays, back when his chest hair was shaved in the shape of the batman logo, and he still lived in DC. it was just...a thing people knew about him.
"Tom Scott once revealed in a video that his full first name is 'Thomas'!" uhh what?? I mean he may have said it in a video, but I'm pretty sure it was "revealed" by the fact that his website used to be thomasscott.net??
it's just a bizarre experience to see people have limited knowledge about things that I thought everybody knew

i do think it should be common courtesy that if you are a person who shops excessively (or even just a fair bit) from secondhand stores you should also be like. donating your excess stuff back to those stores. so funny to see people complain about how theres just no good stuff in op shops anymore and so often the person saying this is specifically someone who shops to resell. like yeah you're all buying and nobody's donating.
#courtesy but also like. a responsibility#anyway this is all an old tired argument i was just thinking abt it today bc i was buying beads and thinking abt how i cant wait#to sort through some of my extra sewing stuff and be able to donate it back to the places that have been The Source for my hobbies for year
